Native Floridan. Attended Ringling School of Art, Sarasota. Visit Fred’s Website  His instructors were Robert Henri students who came south to teach in Fl. Fred is considered the artists artist . He was named best local artist in Miami in 2003 .  He has been referred to as  our Regional Treasure,  at 77 was named “Miami Master “ first artist to be so honored by the Mayors office.  Lost his studio during Hurricane Wilma.  His art patron Michael Brody has generously underwritten his  annual residency at Taleo  Arts Center.   At 80 he still paints daily finding inspiration in Woodstock.
